DAY 1 CUSCO – LARES HOT SPRINGS – CUNCANI
Early in the morning we are going pick you up from your hotel in Cusco (5: 00 am) to start our car drive and passing by the impressive Inca site of Sacsayhuaman then to go into the majestic sacred valley from where we are going to appreciate some snow-capped mountains such as Sawasiray and Pitusiray and we stop in the small town of Calca where you have the chance to explore the local market to have an idea how is the daily life of the people who live in the sacred valley of the Incas.  Afterwards we still drive to Lares hot springs. Once there you can enjoy the natural hot pools surrounded by the mountains and the river. After a hearty lunch we will pack up and start the hike to the village of Cuncani which takes approximately 4 hour. We start ascending gradually on the uphill path from 3300m 10826ft to 3800m 12467ft on the way we appreciate llamas and alpacas eating on the grassy hills, this type of landscape will be our company during the hike. After 4 hour of grueling but beautiful hike we reach to Cuncani village, where our tents will be set.

DAY 2 CUNCANI- SONDOR PASS- HUACAWASI – IPSAYCOCHA

After an energetic breakfast we will pack up and make an early departure in order to take advantage of the cool hiking hours of the morning. After 2 hours uphill hiking we reach to 4440m 14566ft where we have the opportunity to enjoy the amazing views of the Veronica Mountain and the valley of Wacawasi village. We have time for snacking and taking pictures while we enjoy the view of the magnificent landscape. After we start descending to Wacawasi village, in this valley many still farm the traditional crops in the same way that their ancestors did and also we have our lunch in Wacawasi.
After lunch we have time to walk around of Wacawasi village in order to get in touch with the people in this village especially with the children who are very playful and very interesting because they dress in the traditional way and you can learn Quechua language from the children. Or you can just to take a little siesta. We start our afternoon hike up to the Ipsayccasa pass 4550m 14927ft 3 hour uphill hiking to the highest point of the whole trek. Once at the top we have the chance to offer coca leaves to the Andean gods of course to enjoy the impressive views of the mountains. We start descending to our campsite close to Ipsaycocha Lake where we are going to spend the night.

Climate: warm in the day and very cold in the night.

Minimum Altitude: 3900m 12795ft.

DAY 3 IPSAYCOCHA LAKE – PATACANCHA- OLLANTAYTAMBO- AGUA CALIENTES.

This day is going be an easy day and plenty of time for pictures because the trail will be full of local flora and fauna if we are lucky we will see the Andean geese and condor many llamas and alpacas on the trail. After 4 hour descending through the spectacular valley of Patacancha where everything remains as it has since ancient times we reach to Ollantaytambo. From where we are going to catch the train to Aguas Calientes town After 1.5 hour train ride we get to Aguas Calientes town then we go to the accommodations to take shower and relaxing at the hotel and in the evening to enjoy the delicious dinner at the restaurant in town.

Shuttle to Aguas Calientes: 3 hour by train from Ollantaytambo
Hiking Distance: 10km 4ml
Climate: warm in the day and tropical warm in the night.
Hiking time: 4 hour approximately.
Maximum Altitude: 3900m 12795ft.                                                                    
Minimum Altitude: 2050m 6725ft.

DAY 4 MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

After breakfast in the hotel very early we go to the bus station to catch the bus up to Machu Picchu in order to be in Machu Picchu by 6:00 am because Machu Picchu opens at 6:00 am. The only time that we got to see Machu Picchu with no people is only in the mornings because later Machu Picchu is crowded. We always try being the first ones in Machu Picchu to enjoy it better and see the sunrise. Afterwards the guide will get you around Machupicchu doing the tour for about 2.5 hour in order to get to know very well about Machupicchu. Then you have free time to explore Machupicchu by yourselves. If you booked the extra tickets for Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain you are going to climb one of these mountains.
Machu Picchu is located in the middle of nowhere and up on the granite mountain edge, there is no any records about Machu Picchu of the Incas time. It is not mentioned in any of the chronicles of the Spanish conquistadors and archaeologists.
Machupicchu was under the dense vegetation until July 24th 1911. When the American historian Hiram Bingham (who was in search of Vilcabamba) discovered it that is why he called it "the lost city of the Incas".

At least you are going spend 8 to 9 hour in Machupicchu. Then you have to go back to Aguas Calientes town in order to catch the train back to Ollantaytambo town. From Ollantaytambo transfer you back to Cusco by car and we drop you in your hotel in Cusco.

Shuttle to Cusco: 3 hour by train and bus from Aguas Calientes.
